Located at the tip of the Baja Peninsula and styled on the great Mexican haçiendas of old, this Ty Warner desert resort more than lives up to its name – 'windows of paradise'. Smooth adobe walls and intricately carved furnishings contrast dazzlingly with precious artefacts and colourful artwork to create a special ambience, while sumptuous facilities and five-star hospitality lift this resort into the realms of the divine.
Guest suite sizes vary but all feature marble showers, Conchuela limestone floors and super views of the gardens or ocean, while some also have rooftop terraces. The decadent 7,800ft² three-bedroom Presidential Villa, which comes complete with a private infinity-edgeswimming pool, garden, Jacuzzi, kitchen, dining area and Butler, is definitely one not to be missed.
Las Ventanas al Paraíso means “windows to paradise” in Spanish. And this resort is paradise, indeed, with its dazzling infinity pools and open-air lobby. A butler is assigned to each suite to coordinate spa treatments, recommend where to eat, arrange car rentals, set up laptops, and generally prevent guests from lifting a finger (we dare you to try to adjust your own beach chair or fetch your own margarita). This resort takes the business of love seriously, so seriously that it even has its own romance director who specializes in unforgettable moments: crafting love letters, booking a musician to serenade your partner, and even providing a white stallion to carry you and yours off into the sunset.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Las Ventanas recently opened the Ty Warner Mansion, a sprawling 28,000-square-foot villa designed by Robert Couturier that cost $18 million to build. If you need to ask how much the rate is, you have no business staying here:
Let’s just say it runs into the tens of thousands. A night.
